We Love you Baby Maddy!
Madelynn Gene-Marie Thomas, God's beautiful angel, returned to Heaven Monday, Sept. 17, 2007. She was here only 17 days, but in that time spread a huge message of love to all who knew her. Madelynn showed us that our greatest power lies not in our minds or strength, but in our heart and ability to love. Our lives will forever be changed in the short time baby Maddie lived.
Madelynn is survived by her parents, Tanner Thomas and Carrie Green of Lubbock; one brother, Brice Green of Wolfforth; grandparents, Terry and Sue Flowers of Lubbock, and Joe and Jana Thomas of Tahoka; great-grandparents, Sally Workman of San Angelo, Glenna Monk of Tahoka, Curtis Monk of Wilson, and Quyette Levens of Lubbock; aunts, Rachelle and Kevin King of Amarillo and their children Kaleb and Ashley; Alyssa and Chris Cabaniss of Arlington and their children Hunter and Cole; uncles, Michael and Jenny Flowers of Holly Springs, NC, Daniel Flowers of Lubbock, and Trey Thomas of Canyon. Madelynn was preceded in death by her grandmother Nora Flowers, great-grandparents Emma and William Cook, Welton Flowers, Aleta Stewart Wood and Reble L. Thomas, and Joe Glenn Levens.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007 at Resthaven Memorial Park with Rev. Marvin Gregory and Minister Shawn Miller officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Lubbock Covenant Children's Hospital Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Foundation in care of Covenant Foundation 3623 22nd Place, Lubbock, TX 79410. The love and care that Madelynn's team of doctors and nurses extended not just to Madelynn but to her family will forever be an impact on our lives.

I didnt get a chance to know Maddie..but she will be missed alot. Its not easy losing a loved one, but she will never be forgotten. Baby Girl, Rest in Peace
Remembering You
Your time on earth seemed all too brief
because I wanted you in my life forever.

Thank you all for your comments and lovely words left regarding our beautiful baby, Madelynn Gene-Marie Thomas. Not a day, nor minute, will ever go by that she will not be thought of by the both of us, and quite so many others, we love her and always will. Theres not alot to describe just how it is that we feel and even think of this whole situation. We thank everyone for being there for us through every that happened and that we went through and even now, thank you.

It's situations like these when people will come and tell you, "Everything happens for a reason." Yet, noone can ever come up and actually say they might know what that reason is. We have heard it said to us at least a dozen times and the whole time since her passing, we have been trying to figure out an answer. Maybe, there isn't one but it is the only comforting thing people can think to say when something like this happens. We will never know, I guess.
Maddie, we will always love you, baby girl. You will never be forgotten. Any siblings you are to have later on, but not get to know will know you or at least about you enough to make it seem that way. For now, good night, baby and sleep tight.

An Angel Kiss
An angel kissed my tears away
today when I was sad.
I wasn't feeling quite myself
my day had been so bad.
I felt a warmth brush by me
that quickly dried my tears;
a gentle, kind, and loving touch
that seemed to hold me near.
Immediately, I felt so much better
and the day seemed brighter too,
I guess that's just the way you feel,
When an ANGEL comforts you!

Dearest Maddie-Roo, Mommy thinks of you everyday, every moment. I always wonder what it is you would look like right, especially wondering if you may happen to have your mommies green eyes. I love you with all my heart and soul, little darling. You would have been 1 year and coming up on 3mths. I miss you soooo much it hurts. I love you!!!! Love Mommy
